The VW T1 Bus "FB1 Race Taxi", at the Essen Motorshow 2012.

This T1 has the engine of a Porsche 911 (993) - max. speed: 230km/h!

I almost bought a Transporter (the breadbox generation, early 70ies) with a Porsche 2.7 in it, but it was on eBay and the seller didn't answer his phone, so I decided not to risk it (mostly because the 2.7 is a magnesium block and tends to shed cylinder head studs). A 3.8 litre is way cooler :-)

A Porsche engine, you say? Must be a real mover.

You can watch videos on youtube of this bus during a track day. I had to find a way to keep my jaw from falling on the desk. :wow:

I hardly think so =)
And this thing isn't safety enough to hit 230km/h in fact you would probably die if you suffer an accident with this car in 60km/h

It can be remade but you haven't space to put airbags on that XD
But yes, you may not go on that speed with a 1996 car. There is a lot of possibilities of things to broke on that speed ><
